November is Labour Film Month!

Calling all CLiFF Location Coordinators
November is Labour Film Month in Canada

Hello and welcome back to the Canadian Labour international Film festival, also called CLiFF. We are back and strong again this year – our second on the national scene!

We are again looking for Location Coordinators. We would like to know if you are interested in coordinating CLiFF in your area.

We have a few changes which might please you. When we asked for feedback after the festival closed last year, you let us know some of the more important ones. Without doubt, the most common comment was that the dates we had set didn’t work for many locations, or it was inconvenient.

We decided to give each location the flexibility and let them chose their own dates – as long as it is in November. That’s because we decided to designate November LABOUR FILM MONTH.

We have also establish our deadline a bit earlier this year to allow our Film Selection Committee to do their work more thoroughly, as well as giving our Location Coordinators more time to choose the films they will screen at their locations. It also gives everyone more time to publicise CLiFF in their geographical areas.

If you would like to return as a Location Coordinator, please send an email to locations@labourfilms.ca and let us know which city or town you will coordinate.

Thanks for all you help last year, and thanks for your help and support in this crucial second year for the Canadian Labour International Film Festival.

En toute solidarité
