AS A MINER I LIVE

A FILM BY Luciano Eugenio Paciotti

Carlos has walked through the underground tunnels of the Potosi Cerro Rico since he was fourteen years old. The cooperative miners work is extremely sacrificed and the mineral extraction methods are completely handmade. Through this ritual they bear extreme living and working conditions. The alcohol consumption offers a true contact with the Pachamama and the coca. Apart from making their jobs easier, it is an offering to the Uncle, who inhabits the depths. The underworld has its own rules and you have to be up to survive its reality. Carlos is proud to be a miner. He himself and the character he has built up.
